About Me
I promise I'll keep this short! I was born and raised in Glendale, California (in Los Angeles County). At the tender age of 17, I left home and enrolled at the University of California at Berkeley. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, in December of 2000. On June 11, 2001, I was commissioned into the United States Navy as a junior officer. I subsequently served in the U.S. Navy for four years, in San Diego, California. During this time, I met my lovely wife, Daniela. We were married on November 6, 2004, in the sunny San Diego district of Pacific Beach. In July of 2005, I transferred to the Naval Reserve and enrolled at the University of California at San Diego, as a Ph.D. student, in the Department of Chemistry. I'll let some pictures tell the rest of my story . . .
Aside from science, I have a few hobbies, the most important of which is music! I play guitar and am a disciple of the 70's/80's era hard rock & metal. This is my arsenal . . .
From Left to Right:
1) The Eddie Van Halen Ernie Ball Music Man - nothing but tone on this machine!
2) Ibanez EX Series - One of the more simpler Ibanez guitars, put me through college.
3) An old Aria I picked up in a pawn shop, my first guitar, I've painted it 5 times.
4) A beat up Ibanez Performance Acoustic Guitar
5) In the foreground, the Peavy 5150 EVH Combo Amp. I wish I knew how loud this thing was before I bought it!
